Honey Bun Bars

Honey Bun Bars

Crust:
1/2 cup butter
1 1/3 cups flour
3 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons honey.

Filling:
1/2 cup butter
1 cups water
1 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 eggs
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup pecans
1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Icing:
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
3 teaspoons milk

Crust: Cut butter into flour until coarse crumbs.  Add water.  Press into bottom of greased 9 by 13 pan.  Drizzle honey over crust.
Filling: Melt butter in water.  Bring to boil.  Add flour and salt.  Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until mixture forms a stiff ball, about 1 minute.  Remove from heat.  Add eggs one at a time.  Stir in hoeny and almond extract.

Spread filling over crust.  Bake 400 degrees for 25 minutes.  Remove from oven.  Sprinkle with pecans.  Bake 10 minutes more.  Drizzle with icing.

Icing:  Combine all ingredients until smooth.
