Pie Dough

Pie Dough

2 1/4 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon slat
1 cup unsalted butter
1/2-3/4 cup ice water

Combine flour and salt in a large bowl.
Cut butter into walnut size pieces and add to flour.  With your hands, work butter into flour until butter is in pea sized pieces.
Add water and toss dough until it stick together, be careful not to break butter into smaller pieces while blending in the water.
Turn onto table, knead slightly, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 15 minutes or until needed.
