Sopaipillias

Serving Size: 1
  • 1 package yeast, dry, active
  • 1 Cup water, warm
  • 1/2 Cups flour
  • 1 Teaspoon salt
  • 1 Tablespoon shortening
  • 1/2 Cups flour
Combine yeast and warm water. Let stand 3-5 minutes. Add and beat until smooth 1 1/2 cups four, salt, and shortening. Add 1 1/2 cups more flour. Place in a greased bowl, cover and let rise until doubled in bulk, about 45 minutes.Roll out and cut into 3 inch squares and deepfat fry at 365 degrees. Season with cinnamon and sugar
