Partridge In A Pear Tree

Serving Size: 10
  • 1 can pear halves, drained,
  • 10 maraschino cherries without stem
  • 2 small Lime flavored gelatin
  • 2 Cups boiling water
  • 1 Cup water, cold
  • 1 Cup cool whip, thawed
Cut 2 or 3 pear halves into 8 slices; dice remaining pears. Place slices and cherries on bottom of tree mold.Dissolve 1 package gelatin in 1 cup boiling water. Add 1/2 cup cold water; chill until thickened. Carefully pour over fruit in mold; push fruit down if it floats; chill until set but not firm.Dissolve remaining package of gelatin in remaining boiling water. Add remaining cold water; chill until slightly thickened. Stir in whipped topping and diced pears. Spoon over gelatin in mold; chill until firm, aboutt 4 hours. Unmold. Garnish with candy canes, if desired.
